Donate Materials

Donations of books in good condition may be accepted by the library and may be added to the collection or sold at the Library’s discretion. The Library does not assign monetary value to your donation. To donate books and other materials, please come by during our business hours and let us know you have a donation.

Books and other donated materials will be accepted only if they fall within the goals and objectives of Lillie Russell Memorial Library.  Examples of materials that may not be accepted include those that are outdated, are in poor physical condition, lack any reviews or are poorly reviewed in professional reviewing sources, or are duplicates of items the Library already owns in sufficient quantity.

The Library is not legally permitted to appraise the value of a non-cash gift. Donors who wish to have an evaluation of their gifts for tax purposes are referred to IRS Publication 561, Determining the Value of Donated Property.
