The first Saturday in December is a magical time at the library. The event begins on Friday night with the lighting of the Memorial Tree to remember loved ones. On Saturday morning, the library transforms into Santa's Bake Shop. Our doors open at 10:00 a.m. You can shop for delicious homemade cookies and bid on silent auction items while enjoying hot cocoa and coffee. Santa will be available for photos, and the kids can play reindeer games outside where local performers provide music. Our Friends of the Russell Memorial Library will have unique gift baskets available for purchase. Come and shop for those on your Christmas list, or treat yourself! There is fun for the whole family. Santa's crew is always looking for more sponsors and volunteers. Santa's Bake Shop is a great opportunity for you to create Christmas memories, support your library, and get involved in your community.
